
Reverse Commission™
Conventional commissions reward agents for getting home buyer’s to pay the highest price for a home. By basing compensation on how much a buyer spends, all real estate agents are encouraged to drive prices up.
Since Territory is an unconventional brokerage (we are so proud!) and only represents buyers we felt it was only appropriate to design a system that rewards our Guides for driving prices down. Our revolutionary Reverse Commission™ is a bonus incentive that bases compensation on how much you save.
How does it work? It’s simple… The Reverse Commission™ is 1/3rd of the negotiated discount - the difference between the seller’s list price and your purchase price. When you close on a home the the Reverse Commission™ is removed from the cooperating commission and you keep the rest. You never pay out of pocket, we just put more money in it!
The Reverse Commission™ guarantees that your Territory Guide will do everything possible to get you the lowest price on any home, and if they aren’t successful they don’t get paid. It’s simple, it’s fair and it works.
Example:
If you purchased a home listed at $500,000 for $491,000, the Reverse Commission™ would be $3,000. You would get a rebate for $4,280 for a total savings of $13,280!
If you purchased the same home for $485,000, the Reverse Commission would be $5,000. You would get a rebate for $2,130 for a total savings of $17,130!
